 Knowledge Article 0304:
How can I play a video in my SellFolio?
Applicability: SellFolio
4.0 Complete only
_________________________________________________
There are two ways to play video in a SellFolio 4.0 Complete:
Method 1: Import FLV video into your project (preferred)
With this method, your videos play within your SellFolio project,
without the need for an external media player.
You can only import .FLV video files, and you can only import them
into SellFolio 4.0 Complete. .FLV stands for "Flash Video."
If your video is in a format other than .FLV, such as .AVI or .WMV,
etc., you'll need a video converter that converts your video to .FLV
format. Such converters are fairly inexpensive and are
available by searching the web for ".FLV converter" or "AVI to FLV
converter," etc.
Once your video is in .FLV format, go to any Live Layout screen in
SellFolio Builder (such as Step 4-B). Choose Add An Object
> Add Video. Browse for your .FLV file.
You'll then see a black video placeholder object appear in the Edit
Window. You can select that video placeholder object to
reposition it, and you can click its Edit button to specify settings
for your video. To see your video play, exit out of Live
Layout mode and click Step9 Test-Drive.
Method 2: Launch videos externally
With this method, your videos won't play within your SellFolio
project. Instead, they rely on an external media player.
However, you can use any video file type you want (i.e., .AVI, .WMV,
etc.).
In Live Layout mode, choose Add An Object > Add Button. In the
Edit area, click the button object, click its Edit button, and choose
an Action of Launch File. Browse for your video file.
